Although we got snow in Door County at the beginning of December, nothing was really sticking… but at this very moment the peninsula has become completely white with snow! It has come in time for all the fun winter activities that are going on here this weekend! If you are in need of some holiday fun in Door County here are some great ideas!
1) TAPworks Kids Production is performing Miracle on 34th Street this weekend!
2) At the Ridges Sanctuary it is the Ridges Natural Christmas; there will be crafts, beautiful hikes and tasty treats!
3) Go to the Renaissance Christmas Concert at Birch Creek for some holiday music and good company.
4) Take a Winter Wonderland trolley tour! This includes 2 winery stops, a sleigh ride and a cozy lunch at the White Gull Inn!

Reindeer in Ephraim!

Nature has done its work to transition Door County into the month of December. The snow slowly started drifting down this morning with just a few flakes and it has been coming down since. The flakes are just right and they are slowly covering the rooftops and lawns. It is just a perfect December 1st for the Door Peninsula!
If other things aren’t helping bring on the spirit of the season this will! Along with this fresh snow Ephraim‘s Christmas in the Village is this coming weekend with lots of fun events planned.

Although the feeling of Thanksgiving is still lingering on the Door Peninsula, Christmas is in the air!
As we’re still recovering from that Thanksgiving feast, Christmas lights and trees have been put up in towns and The Lodge (106.9) has started playing classic Christmas songs! Here at High Point Inn we have our own decorations up and families are gathered in the lobby by the warm fireplace.
This is a great time to take advantage of our after Thanksgiving special and get into the spirit a little early! Here in Door County there are local shops open with great holiday specials, cozy coffee shops to take a relaxing break at and pretty lights to see as you drive along the quiet roads.
Next weekend Ephraim even has its own Christmas celebration (reindeers and all)! Come join us to get into that holiday spirit and find a little relaxation along the way!
