One of the beauties of Ephraim is its ability to conserve a connection to the past. The Ephraim Historical Foundation is an important part of the village of Ephraim. The foundation helps keep the museums alive with interactive tours, to delve into Ephraim’s rich past and of course to continue the traditional festivals.
This coming weekend is the Fyr Ball festival. This is a celebration of Midsummer’s Eve that follows many Norwegian traditions.
This year is looking to be even more exciting than years past! There is live music, food, arts and crafts, a used book sale, fireworks, bonfires along the water and more! This year there will even be amusement rides right next to the Red Putter, our neighbor here at High Point Inn.
This is a great time to bring the family to Door County for a fun filled weekend! Join us at High Point Inn and you will just be a short walk or a trolley ride away from all the excitement! We have the outdoor and indoor pool ready and the gas grills all set up!
Make sure to check out Ephraim’s website with all the details of the event!
Looking for a last minute get away?? This is a fun weekend for a visit to Door County!

The majority of the fun and games are taking place on Saturday February 5th and anyone is welcome to join in the fun! Nature has done its work to transition Door County into the month of December. The snow slowly started drifting down this morning with just a few flakes and it has been coming down since. The flakes are just right and they are slowly covering the rooftops and lawns. It is just a perfect December 1st for the Door Peninsula!
If other things aren’t helping bring on the spirit of the season this will! Along with this fresh snow Ephraim‘s Christmas in the Village is this coming weekend with lots of fun events planned.
Let High Point Inn treat you to a relaxing stay with a fireplace, whirlpool and more. Check out our website for the special running now, it’s a great deal!

The weekend is fast approaching and the weather has been beautiful! The sun has been shining on the Door Peninsula revealing all the beautiful new colors and shimmering on the waters of Lake Michigan. It looks like this should continue into the weekend, which will be great for Pumpkin Patch in Egg Harbor!
Egg Harbor will have plenty of events for the whole family. It is the perfect time to get your fall treats and to take in the fall air. Once you’ve had enough of the crowds you can then tour some of the scenic back roads and travel to the northern part of the peninsula to take it all in.
If you are joining us in Door County for this beautiful weekend make sure to bring layers! The days have been nice and warm in the sun but the cool fall air still takes over at night. At High Point Inn we are excited for the weekend, we have the apple cider hot and the apples fresh from the orchard!
The hectic October weekends in Door County are just around the corner. The festivals in October (both Pumpkin Patch and Fall Fest) along with the brilliant fall colors create a great atmosphere; there are arts and crafts, many different foods and a lot of people around. It is great for fun activities and people watching.
Now I know not everyone likes crowds so this is a reminder that the first week in October and weekdays throughout the month are a great time to join us on the peninsula!
