An Early Door County Spring is in the air!

It’s not even the end of March (ok, the end of March is tomorrow) and those of us lucky enough to reside in Door County, Wisconsin year-round are very pleased to see the waters of Lake Michigan and Green Bay almost free of ALL the ice! In addition, people have begun biking our backroads and green shoots are starting to struggle out of the ground – though barely. I guess now is the time to start planning your next trip to Ephraim’s High Point Inn!

To entice you here are some spring time activities just around the bend:

Sister Bay’s Blossom Festival, Saturday, May 8

Door County’s Blossom Festival, April 30 through June 6
Enjoy our month long celebration of spring as the cherry and apple blossoms, wildflowers and gardens explode into life. Special events include garden tours, a shipyard tour, fishing tournaments, community festivals and more. Information: 800-527-3529 or www.doorcounty.com.
Door County Festival of Nature, May 27 through May 29
The Ridges Sanctuary joins forces with five local conservation groups to offer guided field trips through some of Door County’s unique and beautiful natural areas, many not generally open to the public. Evening presentations, early morning bird walks. Information: 920-839-2802.
Steel Bridge Songfest, June 10 through June 13
International songwriters showcase. Three nights and a day with over 100 bands and soloists on 10 stages. Information: 920-743-5605 or www.steelbridgesongfest.com
